FUNDRAISING APPEAL

Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and are involved in all aspects of the organisation

We are keen to take on new volunteers. By volunteering with us you will meet a wide range of people from different cultures, learn new skills and have fun!

Volunteering opportunities

Fruit and Vegetable Session - Volunteers at fruit and vegetable sessions sell to the public and create a friendly atmosphere by talking with the customers.  If you have a few hours to spare on a Tuesday get in touch.

Volunteer Drivers - drivers are required to transport fruit and veg around North Glasgow on a Tuesday.  If you have a clean driving license and are able to drive a transit van, please get in touch.

Healthy Eating Demonstrator

Volunteers will prepare a simple healthy snack to distribute to customers at the fruit and veg sessions, along with information about health and the organisation.

You don't need cooking skills for this but you should enjoy meeting people.

"Grow you own” Garden Project Participants at the garden project are involved in general gardening activities and planning developments for the garden. Participants have also been involved in tasks such as building bird feeders and compost bins. All the fruit and vegetables that are grown are shared out among the participants.

We have two sites- one at Springburn Gardens and one at Hamiltonhill.

Board of Directors - We are looking for local people who care about their community and want to make an impact to join our Board.  If you live in North Glasgow, and would like to get involved in community development and community enterprise this is the opportunity for you.

Cookery - Volunteers can get involved in helping to facilitate cookery workshops. These run at various times and in various different venues so please get in touch to find out more.

Sage accountancy - To assist our treasurer with book keeping.
