Food Systems Academy – free online open education resource

Wonder what the right to food means? Angry about a world with over 800 million people hungry and 1.4bn overweight? Curious about the future of food? Studying any aspect of food or farming? Want to be better informed? Then this new, free resource is for you.
The Food Systems Academy provides talks and ideas for further reading.

  • You can use the talks to provide a guest speaker in a class or group.
  • Or you may be in a voluntary group concerned with some aspect of food and farming and want a guest speaker to kick off a discussion.
  • Or you can use these like book groups do – listen or watch one or more of them and come together to discuss.
  • Or you are just interested – watch, learn and enjoy!

Community Growing Resource Pack, Scotland

The Federation of City Farms & Community Gardens has published a new Community Growing Resource Pack specifically for Scotland. The pack is a comprehensive introduction to setting up, developing and sustaining a community-managed farm, garden or related community growing space.
