|Royston Youth Gardener (Fixed Term)
Funded by Covid-19 Outdoor Education Recovery Fund
You will be an experienced gardener committed to promoting health and wellbeing by encouraging people to engage with growing, cooking and eating healthy foods. You will be responsible for planning and delivering gardening sessions to enthuse and actively engage children aged between 3 and 18 years old in growing fruit and vegetables and learning about the food cycle, to improve physical activity, and general wellbeing. The gardening sessions will be delivered by Royston Food Hub, in partnership with St Rochs Primary School and Royston Primary School. This is part of the YouthLink outdoor education covid recovery programme. This will also involve closely working with volunteers and school pupils to engage them in food growing and gardening activities.
8 hours per week at £14 per hour + 25 days Annual Leave & 12 Public Holidays pro rata + 7% pension contribution from 1st July 2021 to 4th November 2021.
