Hi! I’m the Community & Youth Gardener at our Royston Food Hub. I grew up in Glasgow and love the people here. I’ve felt very welcomed by the Royston Community in particular and come to work with a smile on my face. I work with children in the wonderfully diverse local schools, youth group and after school group. We have lots of fun playing and learning in the gardens together. It’s important work that I am proud of – giving young people the chance to be outdoors and learn where their food comes from! I also work alongside a team of volunteers at our Community Allotment to grow food for our Community Pantry & Meal. You’ll see me at Royston’s Community Meal (Mon 12-1pm) most weeks.  

Outside of work, I enjoy going for walks in nature and wild swimming. I also like to go to gigs, craft and sing with friends. I believe in the power of community, a smile in the street can turn my day around – even better a friendly chat and a meal! I’m thankful to be working for an organisation which has this value at its core.
